Compliance Anchor – 2017 Ship’s Log and Charting the Course for 2018

By Kevin Martin, CRCM, CAMS, Compliance Anchor Consultant

Kevin Martin reporting in to provide you an update on where Compliance Anchor has been and where we are heading.

Compliance Anchor was founded in 2013 when we began offering our Webinars. Since then we have averaged about 38 webinars a year which includes the monthly Veterans’ Venue series of BSA and Compliance webinars. In 2018 we will of course be continuing this foundational service.

Then in 2016 we began offering Board training onsite or via webinar to expand our educational services, per the request of our customers. We are currently in the process of updating the Board Training for 2018 to cover regulatory updates and keep the presentation fresh for your Board of Directors. This year we have also been doing a variety of custom onsite trainings such as Fair Lending and BSA. Completely new for 2017, we began hosting seminars and classes at various hotels within our footprint. Nancy held a BSA Seminar and I held two HMDA Classes. We are going to further expand our seminar and class offerings in 2018. Also in 2017 with the addition of myself to the crew we were able to start offering Compliance in-bank services to compliment the BSA in-bank services already offered. Some of our representative consulting projects have included a CRA review, a flood insurance portfolio review, a HMDA review, and procedure reviews. In 2018 we will be actively pursuing in bank work and plan to integrate with the Advisory Services team from BBN, with whom ACBB has merged, to further expand the services we can offer.

Our goal is to provide high value and high quality services at a price point that recognizes your status as a shareholder and/or Compliance Anchor subscriber. We are also actively exploring several new technological platforms to improve and expand our services throughout 2018 and 2019.  We have always charted our course based on the needs of our customers. So if you have any questions about, or suggestions for, our services or training please contact Nancy Lake or Kevin Martin.
